Located in the far-western region of Nepal, Bardia National Park (968 sq km) is the country’s largest and most undisturbed lowland park. Bordering the Karnali River and lush Siwalik Hills, Bardia offers a pristine, crowd-free alternative to Chitwan with a much higher likelihood of spotting tigers and wild elephants in their natural habitat.
Unlike other national parks in Nepal, Bardia remains largely unexplored by mass tourism, giving visitors a raw, immersive jungle experience. It is also an integral part of the Terai Arc Landscape, a cross-border conservation initiative connecting protected areas in Nepal and India.
