Established in 2010, Banke National Park (550 sq km) is one of Nepal’s youngest protected areas and a vital ecological corridor within the Terai Arc Landscape. Located in the mid-western region of the country, Banke shares borders with Bardia National Park to the west and India’s Suhelwa Wildlife Sanctuary to the south. This park was created specifically to secure tiger habitat and improve biodiversity connectivity across western Nepal.
Banke remains relatively undeveloped in terms of mass tourism, making it ideal for travellers seeking raw wilderness, scientific research opportunities, and community-based ecotourism experiences.
